when we arrived there
in front of everybody else 

I think she would have.

If Michelle could have told me

to turn back and run

and run and run and run
back to where we came from 

I think she would have

but she knew without me answering

even if that was the case

(and it was very possible it was)

I wouldn't have listened if she had said so
and that was where the problems started.
